The Tenue. Frank Papelino is a relaxed version of a classic Italian sartorial shirt. Especially for the Tenue.
Especially for the Tenue. Frank shirt we teamed up with the Italian fabric mill Albini, who have been making the very best shirt fabrics since 1830. This particular poplin cloth is made with a technique where the threads are woven in a very high density, resulting in an incredibly smooth, almost silky feel and very fine fabric.
With every wear and wash this shirt has ages beautifully. We have seen examples of this fabric that looked stunning after 300 washes, which proves that it’s an ideal piece for everyday wear. The Tenue. Frank is made by our sartorial shirt maker from southern Italy.

The Tenue. shirts are made by the Italian Perpignano brothers who are the second generation in the company after their father started the business in the 1970s. Although their dad was mainly focussed on overseas production for Italian brands, Nicola and his brother chose a different modus operandi. They particularly offer Italian craftsmanship to European brands as they believe that high-quality clothes are the bright future of the business. Their ‘Back to Italy’ philosophy enables specialistic brands to incorporate Italian craftsmanship into their entire chain.
